During the visit, the PIU team presented an overview of BSDI and its ongoing initiatives. Sir Rozi, IT Expert at PIU BSDI, delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the role of BSDI in project monitoring, transparency, digital governance, and development management across Balochistan. Discussions also emphasized the importance of structured internship programs that can provide students exposure to areas such as project management, GIS mapping, monitoring and evaluation, data management, and digital systems.
“Creating opportunities for students to engage with practical development work is important for building future professionals with real-world understanding and experience,” said Dr. Emaad Durrani during the visit.
The Vice Chancellor appreciated BSDI’s efforts in promoting technology-driven governance and improving project oversight through modern monitoring systems. Following the meeting, the PIU team was given a tour of NUST Quetta’s labs and classrooms, showcasing the university’s professional environment, academic facilities, and learning culture.
The visit concluded with a shared commitment to further explore and formalize internship opportunities, paving the way for stronger collaboration between BSDI and NUST Quetta in support of student development and public sector engagement.
